Justin Davies
His next step was Queens College, where he was on a baseball scholarship and was a major contributor to the team that won back to back conference titles and a NYCAC Tournament Title. Justin was named as a Division II All-American in 1998 and holds many records for Queens College. At the end of his career at Queens College he was drafted 23rd by the Toronto Blue Jays and played in the Jays organization from 1998-2000.
Justin then played in the inaugural season for The Long Island Ducks from 2000 -2005 where he left his mark with the Ducks as a fan favorite and with several team records. He was a two time Atlantic League All-Star, the MVP of the 2004 Championship. When he retired on 2005, he held four team records. At the time, Ducks principal owner Frank Bolton said “There’s no replacing someone like Justin, he is the personification of a team player”. In 2015 the Ducks, who recognized his impact on the fans and organization, retired Justin’s number 4. The number 4 is the first Ducks uniform number to be retired and will never be worn by another player.
Justin now resides in North Carolina with his lovely wife Jaslyn, and three beautiful children, Angelina, Christian, and Mathew. Justin joined the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department in 2006 where he continues to serve the Community both in the Department and through volunteering.
